About
I am a young University of Oregon alumn from Hot Springs, Arkansas. I transferred to the University of Oregon primarily for the emphasis on sustainability in the design program. I have extensive experience with remote work as my capstone/thesis project is centered around a work-from-home society. Given the current circumstances I feel this could be a vital addition to any firm. I understand that the job market may be affected by the Covid-19 Pandemic, so I will stress that I am looking for a team of like-minded individuals amongst which I can continue to pursue licensure and gain experience, and that’s much more important to me than any paycheck.
I have extensive experience in energy efficient multi-family development through my time with Viridian Engineering where I spent time modeling buildings in SketchUp for EnergyStar testing, performing field infiltration tests, diagnosing energy deficiencies, and air-sealing on new and existing construction. Working with Ariatouch L.L.C., a small team in Oregon City, gave me valuable experience in all areas of a development firm. Whether I was sketching plans, modeling an alternate shading strategy for a new development in the office, or excavating a driveway for a new development in the field, I was always a key part of the scheme.
On top of my experience in the built world, I have collected a hefty bit of leadership and people skills along my walk. My experiences through programs like NOLS and even spending time as a summer camp counselor have given me insights on how people work and how I work that are invaluable and almost impossible to teach. I look forward to further applying them in the professional world.
